Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League is being organized in four grounds

October 21, Kathmandu. In the inaugural match of the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League, which will be held from October 12, a competition is being held between Satdobato Youth Club and Friends Club.

The league, which was held in two grounds in the previous edition, is now being held in four grounds. Manang Marshyangdi Football Club is making the stadium in Pokhara its home ground while the castle ground is also planned to be used for the league by the organizing ANFA.

The Martyrs’ Memorial ‘A’ Division League, considered the backbone of Nepali football, is being inaugurated at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on November 13. The opening game will be held at Dasharath Stadium when Satadobato Youth Club, which has been promoted for the first time this season, will compete with Friends.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has made a schedule to play the inaugural game ‘Flood Light’.

The inaugural match at Dasharath Stadium will start at 5 p.m. Apart from the inaugural game, other games will be played at 3 pm in the new stadium built after the 2072 earthquake.

The 13th South Asian Games have been held in the stadium in the central part of Kathmandu and some international games have also been held. Only the schedule of the first two phases has been made public, apart from Dasharath Stadium, the ANFA Technical Center has been fixed.

The first match to be played at ANFA Technical Center will be between Himalayan Sherpas and Sankata Club on November 12. The next game will be at 12 noon. Some teams are now playing friendly games at the artificial ground ANFA Technical Center. Which has been described as a pre-season practice game.

There is still some technical work to be done in ANFA, which aims to get Chassell in the third round. The work of making goal post on the field and making the line of the playing field inside the field remains to be done.

According to ANFA, Pokhara Stadium will also be used as the fourth sports venue. The Manang Marshyangdi Football Club plans to use it as a home ground.

As the schedule has to be made accordingly, only the venue, date and time of the two-stage game have been fixed. Due to the corona, the limited spectator presence will be allowed in the game of the new season.

Fourteen teams are participating in the league which will run till March 29, while two teams will be relegated. The league will have a total of 13 stages and 91 games.
